Macquarie United Football Club (MUFC) was established in 2013 following a meeting held at the Garden Hotel. The club was founded with a vision of promoting football in Dubbo, with a strong emphasis on player and coach development, as well as creating a family
orientated Club that strengthens the Dubbo football community.
The club’s name and badge pay tribute to the Macquarie River, which runs through Dubbo, while the stars above the crest acknowledge the titles won by the founders at a former club.
The MUFC colours were chosen to ensure a unique identity in Dubbo, representing trust, reliability and determination. Values that continue to guide the club on and off the football pitch.
In its inaugural 2014 season, MUFC fielded three mini Roos sides and four senior sides. The inaugural board members consisted of Jim Auld (Treasurer), Alan Auld (Secretary) and Daniel Goodstat (President) respectively.
